Super Science

13th January 2017

Miss Barkley has been part of an Erasmus Plus science project called Creativity in Early Years Science. During 2015-2016 she carried out science action research in Gruffalo and Unicorn. This resulted in Miss Barkley sharing her research and the impact on pupil’s learning at a summer school in Greece. She presented her research to a room of teachers and science leaders from schools across Europe.

Last week, alongside the Creativity in Early Years Science project leaders, Miss Barkley shared a poster at the Association for Science Education annual conference. This poster showcased the project’s aims and outcomes, including the research carried out at Rusper Primary School. The focus was very much on how pupils can use curiosity and questioning to lead their science research.

We look forward to the continued development of how we teach science at Rusper, and wish Miss. Barkley well with her continued involvement in the project.
